  • Is reputation coming back?

I have seen some great posts around lately and a handful that are worthy of positive reputation. Will the reputation system be returning any time?

Quality up, quantity down. I will take that anyday.

I would also like to thank the moderators for keeping the masses in tow.

      Hallo Kameraden!

I, for one, am not a big fan of them.

IMHO, one earns a reputation through one's deeds, words, and service or value to the CW Community. It is earned, and held among others. (What the majority of others hold being more important, in most ways, to what a minority of others award good or bad.)

IMHO, "reputation points" are awarded, not earned. Meaning someone has to go out of their way to "award" them. (The are also liable to manipulation by lads with negative agenda and a desire to punish others for a variety of reasons).

While they can serve as a "thank you" for your service, would we know and value (or devalue) so-and-so's posts based upon number points? Would we value/devalue our posters any more or any less if they had large or even no reputation points?
Or does it come as no surprise that the "best" posters (however we define or qualify that) seem to have the "most" reputation points?
