Have been digging around for info on the great man,and discovered he died in poverty in Russia in 1890.
Does anyone know why the owner of one of the biggest clothing factories in the world at the time,would die in poverty?.
And why Russia?.

Chris Daley seems to have a lot of insight about Peter Taits company (as it would seem from his research into the Tait jacket). Maybe he will stumble across this thread and at least be able to lead you in the right direction; or perhaps, you can contact him later in the week, when he is not so busy with his gran opening, and ask him directly.
