Does anyone know who would be making custom officers swords?

    Robert,

I just purchased and 1850 Foot officer's sword from Ames sword Company. Yes, they're still making swords. I know they will custom engrave the 1860 Staff and Field sword. Not sure about the others. They also make fraternal swords and might be your best try. You'll also get an excellent sword. I'm very pleased with both the balance and construction of mine.

Try them in Ohio at 800-345-3682.

    Good luck,

Might I inquire what they charge for their swords? Don't want to call and find out I need to take out a loan!

Ames is your best bet, unless you are lucky enough to find an Ordnance Park sword (defunct in the mid-90's I believe) or an original. Another choice for repro imported swords is here: http://www.militaryheritage.com/swords2.htm
