  • E. Rogers Tarred Goods

Does anybody know anything about the authenticity of his items. From what I can tell from the pic. on his web site they look good ( but pics can also be misleading).
I am especially interested in the I&C Knapsack he has, and if anyone owns one than give your 2 cents on it, please

    Travis,

I think you'd be well-served with Ethan's work. He's a fellow that takes the research and authenticity end of the manufacturing business very seriously. Most, if not all, of his goods are based off of original artifacts that he has examined personally. I believe he is a member of the Company of Military Historians as well.

I've emailed back and forth with Ethan a few occassions and had the opportunity to work with him at TAG. In all instances I found him to be a gentleman.

On a side note, this post may be better served in the "vendor feedback" section of the buy/sell/trade area, although I'm not positive that the newer forum has that section.

    My two cents.

Looked for someplace else to post it, but like you said, that part of the forum does not exist anymore. If the moderators wish to move this thread, then by all means do so

I spoke with him on the phone a while back and he talks the talk. I am waiting for him to start making his French knapsacks. At any rate I have a feeling he doesnt make junk.

I own a cartridge box as well as a knapsack that Ethan made, and I’m very pleased with them. You will not be disappointed if you decide to order from him.

I own one of his painted cloth belts and it is great. The first one he sent me was just a tad small, but it wasn't a problem. I just sent it back and shortly I had the same exact one that only fit better. Can't go wrong with the prices either!

I'm still waiting for answers on the I & C questions I sent a couple months ago - the sounds of silence is all I've rec'd.

                  David,
I've emailed him a couple of times recently and he's gotten back to me, no problem. You might want to give it another shot.

Here is the address for his website. I just received one used and the workmanship is outstanding.
