A worthy old farmer was called on last Saturday, says the Prairie News, for his mules to assist in bringing the captured wagons from the battle field. His enthusiastic reply was: “Yes, Gen. Forrest can get anything I’ve got; just leave the old woman, and he’s welcome to all the balance.”
