  • Nathan Bedford Forrest uniform?

A friend claims to be desended from Nathan Forrest. She has visited his grave site but was curious if his sword, uniform, etc. might be on display in a museum? I checked MOC catalog but it is not listed. JIM HENSLEY

I don't know about General Forrest's uniform, but evidently his revolver is at the Tennessee State Museum:

The folks at the museum might be able to help locate his uniform and other things. The people at the Sons of Confederate Veterans may be able to help. They've been restoring N.B. Forrest's boyhood home for several years now.

Gary Hendershott has Gen. Forrest's Presentation Model 40 and his Sash at one time. Not sure who they were sold too.

The Alabama State Museum in Montgomery has a few things, they have his gauntlets, the sword he took from Abel Streight, and something else that I cant recall, maybe spurs.
