"The publick give credit for feat of arms, but the courage which is required for them, cannot compare with that which is needed to bear patiently, not only the thousand annoyances but the total absence of everything that makes life pleasant and even worth living." - Lt. Percival Drayton, on naval blockade duty.
"We have drawn the Spencer Repeating Rifle. It is a 7 shooter, & a beautiful little gun. They are charged to us at $30.00. 15 of which we have to pay."
William Clark Allen, Company K, 72nd Indiana Volunteers, May 17, 1863
Oh man I second the wish for an Ironclad! I'd love to steam into San Francisco bay with a Monitor!
Mr White, I used to work for the guitar player for the Standells, Tony Valentino, in his scooter & motorcycle shop in the early 80's. Cool, funny trip of a guy. Oh the stories I could tell..........
Heres my wish list:
1.To not sleep on the couch when my wife finds out that I already bought my Christmas gifts for myself.
2. To not a have a knot head for a horse.
3. World Peace or a new cartridge box; which ever comes first:wink_smil .
4 Finally more kitchen passes to reenact.

I have enjoyed viewing this post. In my assesment It has gone in different routes. Some have put down what they would/ could realistically get or purchase for themselves for Christmas. Still others have made this into a true wish list as if there where really a jolly old man to make dream come true, still others have used this posting as a chance to dream of idealistic utopia.
I choose to indulge.
I want a fully equipped supply wagon with a team of four mules( and the money to keep them) . Cost ???
I also want and will find a way to get a Miltia cap for a Milita event in Kenosha Wisconsin. Cost Around $100
