I know I've forgotten some! Great memories....but one of the best is when I was doing artillery at Chickamauga one year and was ONLY guy that showed up on Friday night. I slept alone under one of the guns in Viniard Field, and read Echoes of Battle: Chickamauga , by candlelight. I was reading one story and looking at the fellow's picture when I noticed that he was killed in battle, IN THE FIELD I WAS LYING IN. That was definitley a moment not to be forgotten.

I'll add what little I can, I'll admit that not all of these were major engagements, but even the little skirmishes and what not played a role

Romney, WV- also have been privilaged to fire artillery from original earthworks on top of one of the hills near the town
