      hmmm....

the list is far tooooooooo short:

      Cedar Creek
      Wyse Forks
      Bentonville

speaking of the culinary side of all of this I have had rasberries from Little Round Top.

And Mr. Heath I saw advertisements from Ft. Gaines last week in Alabama so I'm assuming it is still open.

Sleeping? I've slept on a number of battlefields, but the better question is, how many battlefields have you puked on?

          Hmmm... pretty small for me

          River's Bridge
Ft. Sumter (flew the Stars n' Bars over it in place of the Federal flag usually there)
          Ft. Lamar (Secessionville)
          Bentonville
          Columbia
          1st Manassas
          Antietam

Re: How Many Battlefields Have You Slept On?

Dale Beasley has corrected me in this category...

            More battlefields I've slept on:

            Taqaddam (nice PX)
Husaybah (I puked on this one from salmonella for about a week last September- don't eat the Iraqi food if you can help it. IED! Suicide vest!)
Ramadi (Oh, Hazy Ramadi! It will be too soon if I see you again. Mortars!)
Taji (RPG attacks are fun- not!)
Tal Afar (Turks and deep mud...)
            Al Asad (nice PX)
            Camp Hit (Mortars again!)
            Fallujah (nice PX)

and just about everwhere in Al Anbar except KV... the rest is OPSEC

Didn't sleep too well on -these- battlefields, though. ;)

Shoutout to my fellow brothers- lol

                    Freddie,

You are so correct - how I forgot that one! I have been there at least three times a year for the past millinium - the farming programs, governors scholars and the annual events.:)

If we were to add non Civil War sites slept on or visited:

                    Omaha Beach
                    Hastings (not Michigan)
                    Waterloo
                    Monte Casino
                    Bastone
                    The Eagles Nest
                    The Pali (Hawaii, Kameameah's Victory)
                    Pearl Harbor
                    Schofield Barracks
                    Williamsburg
                    Beacon Hill
                    Yorktown

In addition to many of the ones cited....here's a few that weren't:
July 1975 Gettysburg next to the High Water Mark monument and not part of any 'official' Park activity (in other words if they caught me I'd have been in deep wampu doodoo trouble).

Used to live in KCMO on the Brush Creek battlefield site.....ran nightly in Loos Park....lived over by Mockbee Farm (72nd and Holmes) drank beer over by Hinkles Grove (Charlie Hooper's)....played Soccer over by Byram's Ford (buddy of mine worked for Pepsi). Stayed in many MO and ARK battle sites...many.

Sabine Pass (Rebel Yell car hop had decent burgers and a chocolate Malt). and Galveston.

Nashville (you can easily buy a home on the battlefield)

Franklin (that one was too easy)

Corinth (there's a hotel on an outlying portion of the battlefield, not near Battery Robinett however)

Cousin's lived in Atlanta off of Peachtree Battle....stayed there and ran the battle lines in the mornings. Customer I worked for was on the Kennesaw battle field.

Am over 50 battle sites slept on and counting....(those events that are ON the battlefield made it easy!).
