7th Conn. Infantry Co. A
Enlisted August 14, 1862. Captured Bermuda Hundred Va. June 2, 1864. Paroled and promoted corporal Sept 13, 1864. Promoted Sgt. May 1, 1865. Discharged Aug. 14, 1865.
June 21, 1863 St Augustine Florida
"An ordnance sgt in the regular army committed suicide by shooting himself he was said to be deranged and has been here but a week".
July 3, 1863 St. Augustine Florida
"Bilbro and two others were placed under arrest for going to a ball dressed in ladies clothing" Bilbro was a musician in Co. E 7th Conn.
"Nov 18, 1863 spencer rifles were received and issued to all but flanking companies on Dec 2nd". Dec 26 Co. A received their spencers and began to drill with their new weapons.
