June 10th Ordnance receipt for the 10th Texas Infantry of Granburys Brigade shows they turned in their 54 cal austrian rifles for new springfields captured at Picketts Mill May 27th. The Memphis Appeal an Atlanta based newspaper on June 7th "To sum up the results, any impartial observer will say the Texas boys "are all right". Our loss in killed in the brigade is 41, wouned 117. The loss of the enemy in killed in front of our brigade 300, wounded 1200, prisoners taken 250, and about 1700 stands of small arms, most of which were new springfield rifles"
They turned in 202 Austrian rifles cal. 54 and 197 bayonets.
