Hi all:
Just a few words on who I am and why I'm here. My name is William S Granger and I live in central Florida. I'm 44 and married with kids, the youngest of whom is graduating HS next year. I have always been a history buff and just recently did my family tree to find a gg grandfather who fought in the civil war. His name is Simon Peter Howard, 4th sargent, company E, 26th Georgia Infantry Regiment of the LGE brigade. He fought from Gaines Mill to Appomattox with the Army of Northern Virginia. As some of you can imagine, this really fascinates me to read about his armys movements hence the reason I'm here. I went to a reenactment at Gettysburg in 1999 or 2000 (cant remember which but it was the one the guy got shot at). We watched the Confederate side march by for at least an hour without let up, Wow. Perhaps I may join up with a unit but for now I'll just enjoy some historical conversations.
