The new Summer 2007 Journal of the Company of Military Historians arrived today with the following articles on Civil War History.
An Early Civil War Officers Frock Coat. Belonged to a Christophier Harris Williams of the the "Felix Rebels" Co. D 27th Tennessee Infantry. What is interesting is that this frock looks to be a product of the Memphis Depot of 1861, and the frock is in mint condition. Color photos are included.
A Previously Unpublished Account of the Battle of Hampton Roads, written by a participant: an Officer in the Confederate Marine Corps. Written by a Richard Henry Henderson, Commander of the Marine Gaurd aboard the CSS Patrick Henry. for you Naval buffs.
A color photo article on the OVM belt plate-
An interesting article on Black Confederate Sharpshooters on the Peninsular Campaign 1862.
