  • Need Photos Of Missouri State Gaurd.

Hello, working on a Chapter for the new WTG the Confederate Compendium, and I am looking for any photos, contemporary or modern that shows authentic living historians as Missouri State Gaurdsman. Full shots of individuals or groups that convey the appearance of Price's men in 61'. Also, any links or places where photos of actual State Gaurdsman might be hiding. I have several already, but more does not hurt.
Black and white or color, does not matter. Be sure to include names, dates, and if you can critique the uniforms shown or civilian clothes, it would be greatly appreciated.
The recent events at Athens or Wilsons Creek should have lots of photos available.
    Thanks,
    CSuniforms

In addition to Mike's, Wide Awake had a still photographer on site for the 4 day shoot at wilson's creek last weekend.

civilwargoods.com should have some contact info.

          Tom,

Cal Kinzer passed this link along this morning to those on his email loop, and while this is primarily Unionist information, the site is worth a good looking for that....educational calling.

There is an excellent photo of a pair of Missouri State Guardsmen in the 1991 Confederate Calender for the month of May. (Confederate Calender Works)
The image features Pvt. S.W. Stone, "California Guards," and Pvt. P.S. Alexander, "Moniteau County Rangers." Both are attired in civilian dress and are aremed with personal arms. The image was struck in May 1861 and comes from the Dr. Thomas P. Sweeney Collection.
