  • It is good to be wrong!

    Folks,

Sometimes it is good to be wrong.

For most of the year, I had been under the general impression this end of the campaigner, progressive, and hardcore segments of the hobby were shrinking along with the other three chunks of the reenacting world. Since this would have been about the time I'd be plugging in the numbers from Fort Wayne, I totaled up the names, and much to my surprise we haven't dwindled down to about 300 people. As of noon today, the "Who is Us?" list sits at 491 names.

Well, now, with 2 events left this season, will your name be on the list?

Makes my day, I tell ya!

Not only will I be on the list, but I'll be an early entry on next years list - with a wink and a nod to the CRs.

      Paul,

While you are winking and nodding, be sure to bring your gloves, overcoat, scarf, sleeping cap, and at least one extra blanket. February will be here before you know it!

The 2008 season is shaping up nicely. Let's see if we can break 650 next year.

                Jim,

That would be a highly appropriate period response, too. I direct your attention to the lovely pickled potatoes thread deep within the civilian subforum:

Hoot man - I will pick up three more by year end and two quick ones in 2008. Did we ever get a ruling on my musket attending I-600? Under the circumstances, I still think that should count.

Riley, I see you are already on the 2007 list.

Ley, your musket has attended the Immortal 600 and Banks' Grand Retreat events this year without you, and since you wanted to be such a smartaleck about, I'm listing "Ley's Musket" as an "us."
