    whatever happened to fred? He made me a most excellent RD II jacket and trousers years back and they are still in great shape. I never hear of him anymore. Whats he up to?

      Fred is still in the hobby and doing stuff with the Constitutional Fencibles. Fred made my first CS jacket which is still in service (although not with me).

        If I remember his business was called 'bleeding fingers' I met him and personally picked up my clothing from him at Anteitam some ten years or so ago. I was very impressed with the camp of the 'Southern Guard Battalion' when I walked into it that day. I will never forget the salt pork stacked up on a ground cloth with flies all over it. Ick.. authentic dysentary was lurking LOL
