    All,
I'm trying to locate a source for reproduction jewelry. I am working on a special project and I'm trying to procur a VMI class ring of the Antebellum Period. So far the search function hasn't turned up anything on class rings. I do know that they had them. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Respectfully,

    Re: Ring

    Ross,
I've only seen one poorly reproduced VMI class ring and that was 5 years ago. There was a jeweler (names escapes me) that goes to alot of mainstream events that carried it. My advice would be not to worry about having a class ring for an impression. (Rings are earned in due time :wink_smil). If you are interested it would be more period correct to wear a carbuckle ring for a cadet impression, there is one in the museum there that was given to a cadet who acted as a drillmaster in Richmond for the Texas Brigade in the summer of '61.

PM me about your special project, I would glad to help in any way I could.
    Cheers,

Might you be thinking of the Jeweler's Daughter of Hagerstown, Maryland? They make a lot of their own pieces and they do seem to attend most every mainstream event.

        Re: Ring

I believe that yes, the vendor is Jeweller's Daughter...they are the only one I know of producing a ACW VMI era ring. As I remember the ring is pretty far off from the original ring.

Ross, please get in touch with Kirb and myself regarding your project...maybe we can help you find a more desireable solution.
