    Canvas Wallets

    All,
    Does anyone have information regarding the authenticity of canvas wallets (patterned like the "common" leather bi-fold or not) in use during TWBTS?

    I dont know that much on canvas, but there is a wallet in the Fighting men of the Civil war book. pg 161 # 14. It looks just like a USCC Housewife, but its a wallet not a sewing kit. I have a pard who has actually seen an original wallet made from a Federal Blanket.

    Im sure there is many different variations out there!

      Thanks for the heads up John. I've studied the artifacts in that book for several years and must of completely looked past that!
