Large, portly fellow

Wow, confused as to why the comments concerning the portly civilian image thread was cancelled, but a comment came to mind when others made remarks about his size, perhaps due to his affluence. Not sure of the time period, but it goes like this..."A plump wife and a big barn never did any man harm." Maybe others have heard this.

My Grandfather always said "A fat wife and a full barn never did any man harm." I am sure there are other variants of this adage...--Browder
