Well thank you Mike and thank you to our veterans past and present.
As a veteran myself I will celebrating this day with a barbeque and the family. I often think of my old friends that I was in the Army with.

We had a nice seven man Corporals guard for the Veteran's day ceremony here in Royal Oak Michigan. Afterward, we had some food and beer at the local VFW hall. It was a good day!

                      Re: Veterans Day

On Veteran's Day, our outfit participated at an annual two day event in Moorpark, Southern California. Between "skirmishes" on Sunday, 11 November, in a cold drizzle, both sides formed up on the field , veterans were asked to step out from the ranks and were honored. Then veterans in the audience were asked to stand and were also honored. After that, all units fired a volley (feu de joie) from right to left to honor all veterans, and a 21-gun salute was fired to honor those veterans who fell on the field of honor. Actor Bruce Boxleitner then read the Gettysburg Address, followed by all reenactors and the public singing "America the Beautiful". Quite a scene.
