Normally, I'm not much on spending time with photographers--this feller did seem to have a better eye than some. We were hidden down below a bluff, while there was a large tented area above us, with all sorts of happenings occuring. The gentleman happened to see Mr. Morgan transporting a bedstead on a wheeled cart, followed him below the bluff, and spent the better part of the day poking through our belongings and talking shop with Wendall.Terre Hood Biederman

It'll be interesting to see how it turns out. Saw a bunch of people who looked good and a bunch of people not-so-good. But I suppose that's the way it usually is with these things. There's always gonna be a little bad with the good.

I don't believe he's a reenactor. I meet Mark at Perryville 2004 he's from California, he pulled me out of a Sutler Tent and took my image about dozen times, told me about his book project slated for late 2007, handed me his business card. I believe his occupation is professional photographer, he emailed me this Summer and invited people to Gettysburg to photograph tintypes and ferrotypes at Lee's Headquarters. So there will be mixture of modern and period type photos in the publication, I hope it gives a boost in interest to our hobby.Comment

I met Mark at September Storm and chatting with him a few times throughout the weekend. He asked if I would be available to make a trip to Gettysburg to do a shoot in front of the Leister House. So, James Thompson, Dave Ahrens, Andrew Gutkowski and I, met up in Gburg and spent a few hours with Mark.
He was a pleasure to work with and was showing a genuine interest in making this book spectacular. Hope it is!!

Hi, everyone, thanks for the kind words about the trailer for the documentary, "An Illusion So Real." Thanks also to the reenaactors I worked with--I've enjoyed meeting everyone and was glad to leave the 21st century behind for a little while.
I'm still working on the film, looking for funding, and will be updating my website soon, which will include more wet plate collodion images.
I wish everyone a very Happy New Year.
