I am also sure it was the nose bitten off. I remember Jim calling it "Nosey"

Wow, I stumbled across this old thread... So many good memories. I have some pics somewhere of the Nibble Quick Mess sleeping "campaign style" in the dining area during that night of the electrical storm.
Tyler, I wish someone did. I drove from Wisconsin for that shoot-having a blast running out of the "Sunken Road." There is a scene where I found a wounded Iron Brigade pard the blew out a candle. I think it made a cut of the doc.
I did some Greenfield village shoots and some a Middlekauf farm. Also in other places around MI and MD. I think that Steve Acker was the Sargent of the 6th that gave me my first line, Here George. Look at me now. Well I also did Owl Creek Bridge and many many more civil war related films and TV. Yeah I always wondered how long Brad was going to milk that footage. Hope we get to see it before we die.

I had a short line for the "Sunken Road" shoot and it was cut also. I guess my rugged good looks would have detracted from the rest of the documentary.

Haven't been on here for a long time. Decided to kick up this old thread. Merry Christmas to my Antietam friends. Warm memories abound in reading the old opinions.

I was 17 and there, at Middlekauf, with my dad who was in the hobby at the time but didn't really wish to participate but drove me down there nonetheless. Upon reaching the site, the Director asked if he would reconsider and gave him a uniform and traps. We had a fabulous time that week, serving in Ron Crater's Company. We dubbed ourselves "2/3's" Company based on the fact they kept changing our designation from 2 to 3 back to 2 and so on the whole week. I myself, thought the catering was horrible; coffee cold, etc. Every night, my dad and I would drive over to Shepherdstown, shower and clean up at the college there which was open to the reenactors, and eat at Tony's Pizza there in town (n/k/a Stonewalls). Filming this was an amazing experience and I wish it had come to fruition the way it was intended. Saw a lot of this footage at NPS HQ there at Antietam several years ago and have my commemorative VHS which I pull out and watch every once in awhile. Great memories!
