  • Period Pamphlets and Flyers

    Gents,

I'm looking for leads into finding digitized period flyers and pamphlets that would have been circulating through army camps and civilian cities during the period. I used to have access of JSTOR when I was a student and had found some excellent scans then. Are there any other databases around containing such things? This thread was inspired after seeing some wonderful examples of period documents(the Democratic Working Man's Flyer, etc) floating around the cabins at W64.

    Thanks,

Try the Library of Congress digital collection, American Memory and search pamphlets or tracts.

I was going to suggest the Library of Congress collection. You may aslo want to check with Todd Bemis as I think a good many of the advertisements, handbills, and various other wiping papers were provided by him.
