Re: Best Civil War TV (or rather, the lack thereof as well)...

    Rob or Old Fart,
I remember clearly The Americans TV Series!!!
    I never missed an episode.
The show kicked off our national Civil War centennial and helped create the interest in me.
The very mention of that show recalls memories of my toy Mattel musket complete with cork balls and greenie stick 'em caps. I remember rolling up my dad's Korean War wool blanket to wear over my ten-year-old shoulder and prying the crossed muskets insignia off my pressed felt kepi (purchased in Nashville at a battlefield museum) because I knew it wasn't correct.
Who knew then that in our late fifties we'd still be playing Civil War.
I guess the child is truly father to the man.
    Thanks for the memory trip.

Speaking of cartoons, there was an episode of Family Guy that had Stewie and Brian running through Gettysburg which was pretty funny and then there was Everybody loves Raymond with a non-Reenactor friendly episode.
