How about ..............if you have ever finding the exact spot in Devils Den where Matthew Brady proped up the dead Confederate against a boulder and the wall of piled up boulders. I cant tell you how many times Ive tried matching the shapes of the boulders in the image up with the ones one the battlefield! I vow, one day I will find that spot!

P.S. Doug I enjoyed your additions. Especially the ones about the dreadful tower and the victory over the casino. Your 1st one about High Tide though made me cry a little inside to know I can't attend High Tide:cry_smile

        Franklin

Well, I believe the image you are talking about was actually done by Gardener and the site is extremely easy to find. It is just a little past Devil's Den on the tour road. The road kind of winds around past Devil's Den and as you round the curve look to your right and you will see the spot you are seeking.

The "proped" photo at Devil's Den the last I remember seeing it was also clearly marked with a sign including the picture. I think knowing that says I'm also guilty of an obsession of Gettysburg.

I have to agree with a lot of the points here. My own addition would be: If you've ever followed the route your regiment took in the battle from their march in to the end of the battle... by foot (for me, it meant a long hike from the Codori House cross lots to McPherson's Ridge, back to the Seminary, through town to the Cemetery and then up to Culps Hill - that was a long walk!).

I am not only guilty of several of the "You might be obsessed with Gettysburg if…" I am also guilty of a couple of Jeff Foxworthy's "You might be a red-neck if..." list too...

I got a chuckle out of it. :)

Is there help for us, or are we incurable?

                        Hi,

I am afraid that for most of us it is incurable.

These are all pretty good. I thought of another one personally:
...if you visited Gettysburg so much that in your lifetime you have spent the equivalent of one or more years of paychecks on things in Gettysburg.
