    How much without the story?

    "Yes Vet. bring back,the pistol I got at a auction,The spencer Changed sides july 2nd 1863 and was carried thru Petersburg with what was left of the 26th N.C."

    I just read this on another forum. It just goes to show there is a sucker born every minute.

                        Uhhhhhh no. I posted this thing at 3 AM so I was a bit punchy, and Im sorry if it was unclear.

                        Anyway the guy was claiming to have a Spencer carbine that some guy picked up at Gburg and carried through the whole war. Nice story......but!
