  • American Battlefields Preservation Act

S.1921 or "The American Battlefields Preservation Act", is trying to be amended as it was in 2002, and that would extend protection of Battlefields on US soil until September 30, 2013. If you'd like to read it, I've attached the Adobe file. It is important information to have if you care about preservation. This costs Americans about $.36 each.

    Also, go to

There you will see a poll of those logging into the website "WashingtonWatch.Com".

The "For" this amendment are 40% and those "against" are 60%.

Just wanted folks to know how dire the situation is right now.

Thanks for the head up, Mark.

When I voted on the poll, it went to 47 / 53 up to 50 / 50. Not that the poll will mean that much, clearly at this point about 33 people have voted. AC voters could make a major difference, there as in other preservation efforts.
