  • Resaca Battlefield State Historic Site

The groundbreaking ceremony took place this morning and all went well. Plenty of folks were present from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Friends of the Resaca Battlefield, and several of the state reps and a lot of other people who have been working on, and waiting for, this event for quite a while. I'll try and post some pics sometime soon. O' Happy Day !!!

Tony, congratulations ! That is just a great site, and it's nice to see it preserved, unlike many of the other battlefields of the Atlanta Campaign. You and all of the other folks involved should be proud of yourselves. Take care, see you around.

I had a very good time at the dedication today, and am very, very happy that things are making progress with the battlefield. This is certainly a step in the right direction!
