  • Texas Monument to be dedicated in Kentucky

Please help me get this information into the right Folder.

The battlefield park in Richmond, KY will dedicate its first state monument on May 23rd of this year. Thursday and Friday the Battle of Richmond Association will host several hundred area school children as they learn about various aspects of our civil war history.

More details about this dedication will be posted as they become available.

    Thanks,

The Texas Historical Commission is hoping to be able to do this on May 23rd. We are currently raising funds for the purchase of the monument and are very close to our goal. Here is a link to the THC's Military Sites program webpage http://www.thc.state.tx.us/militarysites/milcivwr.shtml

Once information about the monument is available it will be posted on the THC website.

The dotphoto show is beautiful. I was very proud to see a site where I spend so much time so nicely represented. The cute little gals who laid the roses belong to me, too.

My co-worker also put together a video of the event (he's our military sites coordinator). As soon as I get time, I'll see about getting you access to it. I do know that he plans to send a disc with the photos and the video to the park.

In your photos of the gentlemen, that is my co-worker on the end without the suit coat.
