  • CWT: Memberships in memory of Charles Heath

Since it looks like I won't be able to attend Charles' funeral on Friday, I would like to do the following in his memory.

The CWPT is now offering a second year of membership free of charge for new members. I would like to purchase three memberships for new members to the CWPT in memory of Charles Heath and his preservation efforts.

All one has to do to get one of these FREE memberships is to send me an email at dustyswb@verizon.net. The first three to send me their names, address, and email address will get a membership to the CWPT (Bugler level, $35 value) and a second year free per the CWPT website at www.civilwar.org.

This offer is good only to current non-members of the CWPT.

    Thanks in advance.

    Dusty,

What a great idea. I am also looking for a way to honor Chawls.

I will match Dusty's generous offer. The first 3 non-members of CWPT to send me their name, address and e-mail will receive a free membership ($35 annual bugler level) to the Civil War Preservation Trust in memory of Charles Heath. Be part of saving their fields, and in sharing the committment of Mr Heath.

Send me an e-mail at coop2911@msn.com.

      Thanks Dusty for the leadership

Gents, we are full up, but if it is more than 3 as of 4:39 EDT (once I check my home e-mail), all are in.

You are now part of the single most effective advocacy group in the country - they get more done with less overhead costs than anybody you could donate money to...for the greatest of causes.

                  Ooops!!

You guys swamped my e-mail - there are 16 names, including a few of you e-mailed and PM'ed :D.

Anyway, I am taking the first 6 names immediately (instead of 3) and will notify everyone. I will catch the rest of you over the next 3 months so I don't get tossed on the BBQ by my way better half. Patience.

Thanks for the overwhelming response you guys.

Re: Memberships in memory of Charles Heath

OK, here are the 6 names for June:

                    Mike Kirby

                    Andrew Jarvi

                    Galen Wagner

                    Jason Thibodeaux

                    Shawn Sturgill

                    Thomas Machingo

I drew the line at anyone who had been a member before. There are several names that I won't get onboard until July/Aug and will send you a note.

                    Thanks

Rather than let Dusty or Doug carry me, I signed up myself. It was easy and inexpensive.

Proud to say I did so myself. Sorry to say it took so long.

I'm sorry, but I haven't sent in my three names yet. I hope to get to it this week.

Seems that Jason Thibodeaux got Doug to sign him up, so Doug, send me one of your names and I'll add him/her to my list

                            Until then, these are the two, besides Jason, that sent me their names;
