  • Rosanna Blake Library of Confederate History

I recently visited the Rosanna Blake Library of Confederate History, located on the third floor of the James E. Morrow Library at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. There is an extensive collection of literature (including original such as the 1861 Trooper's Manual), weapons, CDV's, and other artifacts. I have visited the Library numerous times, especially to talk with the Library's chief researcher and Confederate Bibliographer, Jack Dickinson. Jack has written several books on Confederate Brig. Gen. Albert Gallatin Jenkins and West Virginia's involvement in the war, and has even published three articles for the Company of Military Historians. I apologize for the clarity of the pictures, I will go back next week with the better camera and take some good HD photos. Here are some pics of a few artifacts at the museum:

Thank You Dave. Again....I'm sorry for the clarity of the pictures. I'll get better, more accurate HD pictures complete with all marking s on the muskets next week.

My grandfather passed away this past Tuesday, and put a hamper on when I'll go back to the library this week.
