We are in the middle of the 106 process in regards to the Milton-Madison bridge project (see http:miltonmadisonbridge.com in Madison, Indiana. Though it is possible the superstructure minimal approach will be used, if a TIGER grant goes through, if it fails it means the destruction of our house and neighborhood. Though not directly related to the Civil War, our building is, the shop dates to 1851, and in the line of fire for a couple of bridge options. Between the age of the building, and the fact that many of your Civil War reproductions are made there with hundred-year old tools :wink_smil, we look forward to your support.
The history of the building (and some others in the neighborhood) is on the blog, read at your leisure, and any comments on the blog in favor of protecting such structures would be appreciated.. http://ferrytofulton.wordpress.com
