  • My apologies

I apologize to those that might have been offended by my latest thread title trying to draw attention to preserving a part of the Franklin. It was not intended to be offensive or denigrating to anyone but was meant as an attention grabber to direct folks to an important project. Guess it worked but maybe not entirely in the way I would have hoped.

However, although my efforts may have been seen as being in error, the subject of the effort is not and is still in dire need of funds to preserve a piece of the Franklin battlefield. So I renew my appeal to the members of this forum.

Here is the original thread. Please consider helping if you can in a worthy cause.

No offense taken, I thought it was quite clever.

What's the problem? I donated and was glad to do it. A very worthy cause.

          Re: My apologies

Mr. Comer is being gallant--there was nothing at all untoward with the contents of his previous message, but the title was a bit disconcerting as it applies to the distaff side of the living history community.

I would encourage all to view the preservation thread and act!

            Re: My apologies

I thought it was funny. Matter of fact, I clicked to see what the Onion had come up with this time. Funds are a tad low at the moment, but I'll do what I can sooner than later. (Ahem. Donate modern-day money, that is. I am not of an age nor a shape to allow of fund-raising in the manner suggested by the title.)
