These people can really suck one, AFAIK!! You think there's problems with monument vandalism now? If that casino goes through, I'll bet that spraypaint will be the LEAST of the concerns of area law enforcement. And, good luck getting families to visit that new gozillian-dollar visitors' center.

Pennsylvania's seeing the revenue they're gaining from the parlors that are now open. The increase in crime excuese has turned out to be a red herring. Areas in PA where the parlors are now open are seeing a drop in jobless rates and decreases in the welfare rolls. The debate on table games has started with liscenses to start at $150 million. Sucking folks up out of Maryland wouldn't be any problem, with a Gettysburg location. All those full busses take a drive through the park and the NPS gets its budget increased because of a rise in park visitation. Don't be surprised if it gets built, liscensed and open. With the economy the way it's been and the State needing monies to run itself, there won't be many legislaters who vote against it. The trinket vendors on Baltimore Street and the Emmitsburg Road sure won't be voting no either. The way the Gettysburg Foundation is run; it'd take about two seconds for them to have a packabge deal worked out with the Casino. I hope the almighty $ doesn't win this one but, and don't be surprised if it does and right quick.[FONT="Book Antiqua"]"Grumpy" Dave Towsen

If I was the mayor of Cashtown, I'd being doing everything in my power to get the casino built in my town. A natural marriage if ever I saw one. Its marketing genius.
