  • 26th NC's 2009 and 2010 Preservation Projects

This past Saturday, members of the 26th NC completed the fundraising for our 2009 Preservation Project with the North Carolina Museum of History (NCMOH) - the battle flag of the 58th NC...this flag is already at the conservator and should be returned late 2010...this marks our fourth battle flag to be preserved...

Our 2010 Preservation Project will be the battle flag of the 22nd NC, owned by the NCMOH...this flag was captured on July 3, 1863 at Gettysburg and was returned to the museum in 1905...

Thanks for all of the help we have rec'd in the past and if you would like to contribute towards this project, visit our website (www.26nc.org) for more information...

    Thanks,
    Skip Smith

The 26th NC has completed it's first Preservation Project of 2010 as the fundraising for the restoration of the 22nd NC's Gettysburg flag has been achieved...

We have now shifted our focus to the Gettysburg flag of the 16th NC, also in Scales' Brigade...both flags are owned by the North Carolina Mus. of History...

Information about how you can help is found on our website - www.26nc.org
