In looking at the Fox News article Jim posted, I did not hear them state the identities of those soldiers that had been identified. A news article on another site says that they are:
- Austin Gilmore, an African-American who served as stretcher-bearer with the 111th Illinois who died of the injuries he suffered while retrieving bodies during the Battle of the Kennesaw Mountain Line in July 1864. Qunlin has not been able to track down Gilmore's relative.
- Wilson Fields, who served with the 15th Iowa.
