The property owner of 17 acres on Davis Circle (Google Maps: Davis Circle NW, Atlanta, GA 30318) has started removing trees from a site on Atlanta's NW side. This site is off DeFoor's Ferry near the Chattahoochee Avenue industrial area. The site was just inside Confederate General S.F. French's part of the Atlanta outer defense and was the scene of a demonstration on the left of the Confederate attack at Peachtree Creek and worked to hold the 14th Federal Army Corps in place. A "formidable redoubt" existed in the area being developed.

Mike, it is the ATL. We all know that history is not welcome. Knowing the way these people work. They know it is a historical area, but since it is not protected. Get it sold to developers before those preservationists show up.Herb Coats
