Re: 3 Acres at Franklin
This is the lot that is right next door to the Carter House and Carter Gardens area on the corner of the Columbia Pike and Strahl Ave. I sent some funds yesterday, and I'm very glad to see the potential here.Herb Coats

Re: 3 Acres at Franklin
The latest headlines at Franklin:
The Fall of Dominos & Path to Carter's Hill Park
The Chatter about a Museum
Battle of Franklin Park Plans
The Current Site Rendering
This all coincides with continuing archeological work determining the lines of breastworks at the proposed park site, the beginning push towards a committee for Spring Hill Battlefield preservation, and innovations in fundraising techniques - all in all it's been a season of high hopes for what was once classified as the most endangered battlefields. There are three target properties in the immediate vicinity within sight of structure removal/demolition, the old Franklin High gymnasium is to be among the structures, and a local financier of historic preservation/renovation for heritage tourism has agreed to majorly fund the construction of a replica Cotton Gin complex - a surprise to many. There has been no specific talk of reconstructing the works for site interp. I know we in this community hear a lot of promises sometimes but leave it to Franklin to stay the advance of the steady uphill battle.Last edited by Jon The Beloved; 04-23-2015, 09:31 PM.Jon Harris
