My great grand dad (Fergus Ferris) was a rider with Morgan's Raiders. He survived the war and fathered my grand dad in 1912, the week the Titanic sank. He was the ripe old age of 72!

This is outstanding news and a great opportunity to preserve some of the lesser known but very important parts of the conflict!

I would love to see a nice new "MONUMENT" added to the park!

My ggg-grandfather, Private George Tipton rode with Morgan and the 2nd Kentucky Cavalry on Morgan's Raid and was captured with many of them trying to escape from Buffington Island. This is the irony of me living in Ohio. I had an ancestor, fighting for the Confederacy, and he invaded my home state. Only in America!
