It's truly amazing how the military operated back then. For an officer to be out of the game for a while like that, then reinstated and given an assignment at his age is amazing. Not happening today. I hope they do something positive with his house. It's great to read about stories in the north west. We just don't hear about them too often here in the east or mid-west. Thanks for a great article Silas.
