"Good News! We have just received word that BATL have been awarded a $2000 grant from the Bright Wings Foundation to help restore the two 100+ year old monuments "structurally and aesthetically after years of neglect." The grant will join other monies that have been raised towards the $192,000 amount necessary to complete to redo of the two historic battlefield monuments. We are on the home stretch! Large and small donations for this project can be made at www.batlevent.org"

Good to see some people are trying to save Civil War memorials and American Heritage rather than take them down out of ignorance. There is hope. ;)
