We have only sold 108 tickets so far and I know we can do better than this. Over 12,000 members on the AC and only 108 sold? What is the hold up? Five dollars people! Just five dollars for a chance to win a really nice rifle and to contribute to preservation.

Good Evening Folks:

Tonight, I write to you to ask a favor. In the past, the Authentic Campaigner has participated in many different preservation efforts. Preservation is very important to us here and we try to spread the word - for good and for bad, as much as we can. If we are not attempting to preserve the memory of the Civil War, then we are assisting in it's demise as an important part of American history.

Every now and again, we host a specific effort to raise money for preservation. We understand that we can't ask for donations too often. In fact, it has been quite some time since we have spearheaded a money-raising effort. This raffle is one of those times.

Sure, the winner of the raffle will win a Parker-Hale Enfield. That's a pretty cool prize, don't you think? But this raffle isn't really about the prize. What it is about to us is an opportunity for the winner to select ANY Civil War Preservation Effort that they choose and we will donate the net proceeds from this raffle to that cause.

So, what I am saying is this. Donate $5 to the cause. If you happen to win the raffle, then all the better, but the real purpose here is to raise money for preservation. Do your part. We aren't asking for much except a few dollars and a couple of minutes of your time.

Now, let's get this raffle kicked into high gear. The drawing will be held at the end of March at the Fort Blakeley Event. Donate Now! Do Your Part For Civil War Preservation!
