    Help the Trust Save Seminary Ridge



    The American Battlefield Trust is working on its own, no matching funds this time, to save 18 acres on Seminary Ridge at Gettysburg. This land is undeveloped and owned by the Lutheran Seminary. Sounds like they want cash and are selling this property for a fair market price. At least giving a chance for it to be saved. I can’t image driving into Gettysburg and instead of being met with the rolling hills of Seminary Ridge, the town, and cupola I would see shopping complexes. Follow the link to read about it and make a donation to preserve the first days fight area so future historians and living historians can see what we saw. See land close to what those hard fighting men saw.

    Somehow I always thought that the Seminary would always be the Seminary, and one of the few places that would never be threatened. Somehow I always assumed there was a consensus that it would remain the centerpiece of July 1, 1863. There are few more hallowed places in America, let alone Gettysburg...a large donor who steps in now to help keep it that way is a hero, as is everyone of us who can afford $50. Thanks Jeremy.
