Invitation
The National Park Service’s American Battlefield Protection Program is currently accepting proposals for papers for its 7th National Conference on Battlefield Preservation. This is the only national conference that brings together all professions involved in the many facets of battlefield protection to discuss, exchange, and present ideas that lead to the long-term preservation of our nation’s historic battlefields. This year, the conference is being held in partnership with the Third International Battlefield Archeology Conference (April 20 and 21, 2004), the Second International Workshop on the Conservation of Battlefield Terrain (April 22, 2004), and the Civil War Preservation Trust (see www.civilwar.org for more information).
