I was going to make one of these up for the site but found that there is a pretty good one out there already.
The National Trust for Historic Preservation has an excellent page on their website. It is a glossary of preservation-related terms. According to the page, "This list is taken from the A Layperson's Guide to Historic Preservation Law written by Julia H. Miller."
I believe it is a useful, quick reference guide for those that may be unfamiliar with some historic preservation terms. It is somewhat lengthy so I won't post it all here unless requested to do so. I could certainly add a couple more things or add to what is on this particular list.
Glossary of Preservation-Related Terms
Also look at preservenet's links to historic preservation codes of federal regulation, court cases, executive orders and legislation.
