Dear readers,
Normally I would have posted this within the thread about Gaston but I feared it would get lost and that many people may still be curious.
First, it has been confirmed it was the lowest level tornado that touched down in the historic area of the City of Hopewell on August 30th.
Three of the four cast iron columns on the east porch have been replaced, one however was broken in two by the tornado. Trees are still there that need to be removed.
Thanks for IMs, e-mails, and general concerns as to the well-being of the site. This time, it has survived. :-)
