  • Atlanta Battlefield: Nash Farm

How many are aware that the only battlefield that has been preserved from the "Battle of Atlanta" proper is Nash Farm, Henry County, Georgia? The county bought an entire battlefield from a developer, where Kilpatrick's Raid breakout was fought, and now there are numerous living history events held there. I encourage members to visit this battlefield. Your support is needed.

Fred- I stopped by when visiting my mother who lives about two miles from there. I am thinking about submitting a request to put something there honoring Sul Ross. What do you think?

There was A discussion a while back on this forum. The place is absolutely gorgeous. Mark Pollard is also a stand up guy- second to none!

          Joe,
The main battle commemorated there is the Texas Brigade battle against Kilpatrick. I think the County would be reception off a Sull Ross memorial. I would require some fund raising though!
          Best always,
