I called today as well.

I explained the situation to my roommate and a friend who lives a couple rooms down from me. They were opposed to a subdivision being built next to the battlefield so they called in also:)

I finally got through and added my name to the log along with my reasons against. On a side note, the woman I spoke with was very pleasant for someone who has answered as many calls as she has today. Members of my mainstream unit have also placed several calls against.

I called from home, and got right through. The power of the email bomb, heh.

She did ask me my name, phone number, and location. I gave them, and simply explained that I had heard about this proposed development from a friend, and since I have visited the battlefield twice before with family, and planned to do so again, I was interested in preserving the battlefield, even though I do not actually live in the state.

She was very nice and logged my "vote".

I called as soon as I got out of my classes this afternoon. The lady I spoke with was very patient as I voiced my opinions on this whole situation. I also spoke with two of my roommates about this and they called as well! Still passing the word to anyone I can!!!
