My brother just got through a few minutes ago to a very frustrated gentleman who claimed he knew nothing of the issue.

So, just as a side note, if this happens to you, as I told my brother, be polite as possible and simply ask to speak with someone who can help you. Remember, these folks will be the ones voting on the proposal in just a few days, so we all need to be as polite and respectful as possible!

Thanks so much to everyone that has called and is trying to get through still. The response so far has just been huge and I really hope that we are making a strong voice heard.

Let your friends, family, co-workers, and everyone know! I just spoke to one of my old college professors who is circulating the news article and the phone number around the History department and his classes letting people know they can contribute their voices too.

After trying many times I got through around 3:45. I've posted the information in a couple of other places too. Hopefully that phone will ring off the hook the rest of the week!

(And be nice to the poor woman answering the phone. She was very civil and polite although you could tell she was getting a little frazzled.)
