  • CRRC 2nd Edition, up for grabs........

The Columbia Rifles have donated a copy of the Columbia Rifles Research Compendium "that has a few minor scrapes on the cover, as received from the printer," to the ACPP to award to one lucky preservationist.

For every $5 donation to the ACPP online, your name will be entered into a lottery type drawing. You may enter as many times as you want, with each entry requiring a $5 donation via PayPal.

You can send donations to me at dustyswb@verizon.net.

This offer will end at midnight on February 28, 2009, with the drawing being done on March 1, 2009. The winner will be emailed and shipping will be arranged.

Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to obtain this out of print volume.

Thanks to Ley Watson and the CR's for the donation.

    Entries:

    Ben Piazza
    Robert Hutton
    Jeffery Gallagher
    Jimmy Hensley
    Brandon English

I will be sending mine in shortly; this is truly an excellent prize, and an outstanding cause.

Ley's right, those few that have sent in their money have a pretty darn good chance at the prize. Still time left.

Guys, if you do not have an edition, or both, of the CRCC, they are indispensibe. I have both editions and would not part with them for any amount of money. What an opportunity, can't go wrong here.

Re: CRRC 2nd Edition, up for grabs........

Thank you Layton. When I stumbled upon a small supply at the bookstore at Perryville (Thank you Mrs. Lawson!) I scarfed them up. Since their net proceeds were destined for preservation, it seemed only fitting to donate one to the ACPP.

Dusty thought, and I agree, this is a fair way to use this CRRC 2nd to raise some funds. Please get the word out.

                Thanks,

You're welcome. Of course, I made sure my friends had the copies they wanted first :p

                    Saturday night is the deadline.

Let's just say "interest" in this has been disappointing.

You have a VERY good chance of winning the CRRC for a $5 donation.

Well I missed out on this one.... Congrats to the winner....If anyone has a Columbia Rifles Research Compendium 2nd edition they would like to part with I am interested in purchasing one. I do realize how hard they are to get. I have tried just about every book store, civil war museum, amazon, ebay, craigs list and libraries and have come up empty handed. If anyone has any leads please PM me as I am really wanting to get one.
